VGO assessments are intense, on-site, multi-day processes that help our clients to recognize opportunities, estimate their potential, and determine how to capture that potential. Our assessments are focused and efficient, and they yield results that combine the client’s specific business expertise with VGO expertise. For our typical client,
assessments target opportunities that will capture many millions of dollars
of increased profits or reduced costs per year.
What VGO brings to an assessment is a great deal of experience in prior successful assessment engagements, as well as deep experience with technologies that can be used by our clients to attain new levels of performance.
The structure of an assessment will vary depending on a client’s needs and depending on the nature of the projects being considered, but a typical VGO assessment project would proceed in this way:
- Examine the processes under consideration
- Conduct interviews with individuals responsible for the processes under consideration
- Examine documentation of the process documentation
- Develop recommendations for improving the processes
- Present recommendations to stakeholders in the client organization
VGO seeks a high level of client involvement in the assessment process, so that the resulting recommendations include as much client input as possible. Typically one or more members of the client organization will participate in each of the assessment activities.
The outcome of a typical VGO assessment is a set of recommendations for the client, together with an action plan to implement them and
estimates of the economic impact of implementing those recommendations.
